A member of the Lousiana Blues Hall of Fame, Wardell Williams was born in New Orleans in 1942, Wardell grew up and cut his musical teeth in and around The Big Easy.
The great players and singers from the Crescent City and the Mississippi Delta fascinated Wardell, tempting him to pick up the guitar at the early age of 17. Listening to legends such as “T Bone” Walker, Guitar Slim, Muddy Waters, and B.B. King inspired both his raw vocals and unique playing style.
Wardell plays with a special feeling – the words telling a story from the heart – tales of men and their love for women – the hurt of pulling away – of rejection – well just “THE BLUES”.
