Ben Sutton is a singer songwriter originally from Auburn, Al who combines influences from multiple genres of music and distinct vocals to create “new music with old soul”.
With only 3 years experience and the help and support of seasoned and talented musicians, Ben has maintained a consistent playing schedule with well over 300 gigs.
His music has been described as raspy Alabama blues rock. Putting his own twist on covers from bands like The Black Crowes and Black Keys to Bill Withers and Otis Redding, the blues influences shine through each note.
With a goal to remain “genre-less”, heart felt lyrics from originals “Alamance” and “Windchimes On A Freight Train” to the harder bluesy sounds of “Cocaine Devils & Gyspy Queens” and ” Get You Gone”, Ben’s originals are bound to grab your attention.
In Feb of 2001, he relocated back to Auburn and began playing with local guitartist Josh McKenzie, an excellent player that blends his playing with killer effect work. Together they have developed a sound that is everything but “cookie-cutter”.
Russ Garner came on as their permanent drummer a few months into 2012. With this addition came a musical relationship with no limits and a desire to leave all wheels turning and feet stomping.
