Mississippi Represented on Destination America

Brad Orrison, Founder of The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint has been chosen for the

second year to judge the Kingsford Invitational airing Saturday, June 21st at 9

Central on Destination America. The Kingsford invitational, the most prestigious BBQ challenge today, gathers 7 World Champion Teams from this year’s qualifying competitions to go head to head to see who is crowned the best of the best.

The line up of judges is stellar in the competition world of BBQ today, including Mississippians Brad Orrison and Melissa Cookston, Amy Mills a James Beard Award nominee for her cookbook, Peace, Love and BBQ, Ed Mitchell, Chef Douglas Rodriquez and is hosted by Chris Lilly, 5 time World Champion and VP of Big Bob Gibson’s. The 2014 competition was filmed on the deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York.
